Founder
Latrice Callier is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and serial entrepreneur. She is the owner of one of Atlanta’s top residential and commercial cleaning companies, Elite Home Cleaning Solutions, LLC.
In 1999, as a then single-mother, Latrice gave birth to her first born and only son. As a native of South Carolina, she was raised to know the importance of community and the support of a village. It was early in her son’s development that Latrice noticed the disparity that is often experienced by single mothers raising sons. Inaccessible support groups and resources are what led to the formation of M.A.T.S. She knew that she had to become the change that she wanted to see.
While Latrice wears many hats, it is with great conviction and commitment that she has dedicated her life to serving mothers and sons across the nation.
Our Mission
- To educate mothers and sons on maintaining healthy relationships
- To transform mothers and sons lives by striving to become the best version of themselves
- To provide support and social outlets to moms and sons through projects, panels, events, and resources to Fayette and other surrounding counties
- To be a safe, non-judgmental environment where moms and sons can learn how to achieve healthy communication skills and self-awareness, individually and collectively
Our vision
M.A.T.S is a nonprofit organization founded in Fayetteville, Georgia. Since its inception in 2010, M.A.T.S has been dedicated to providing social and emotional support to students from all racial, economic, social, and academic backgrounds. Research shows that most mothers parent their son based on past experiences, and sons learn to grow and become adults based on their mother’s perspectives. Henceforth, we afford the mothers and sons we serve the chance to become their best selves by providing them access to resources that address the different stages of development. M.A.T.S Empowers & Transforms mother-son relationships through workshops, collaborations, activities, & special events.
